The practice
Penn Yan Eye Care is an independent optometry practice at 163 Main Street. The office is privately owned and is not part of a chain. Dr. Andrew Smith established the practice in 2004, when he purchased the longtime Main Street office of Dr. Robert Jones and Dr. Herman Greulick.
The practice serves the people of Penn Yan. Dr. Andrew Smith and Dr. Kevin Smith are from Penn Yan and provide care here themselves.
Each visit includes an evaluation of eye health, not only a glasses prescription. The office frequently updates its diagnostic equipment, including imaging, with the best and newest instruments available, and findings are explained clearly. When a condition requires a surgeon or subspecialist, that care is arranged and follow-up remains with this office. Frames, lenses, contact lenses, and adjustments are provided here as well.
